ICAN Personal Development UK Ltd was formed to offer expertise in the design and delivery of employment, skills and enterprise training programmes for adults who are long-term unemployed, young people on Traineeships or on a sector skills based programmes of study.

We believe that employability skills are crucial for getting, keeping and being successful in a job. These include the skills and attitudes that enable employees to get along with their colleagues, to make critical decisions, possess excellent personal presentation skills, show resilience within the workplace and ultimately become ambassadors for the organisation. Therefore equipping learners with the key employability skills in order to secure a job of choice is central to our work.

Our Director Sophia Lewis resigned from her post as an Employability Skills Trainer within FE to manage ICAN full-time. The company was formed in 2002 for test trading purposes and began officially in 2004, after successful pilots in East London. Sophia brings with her over 15 years experience, where the Company has provided services for Local Authorities, Secondary Schools, Further & Higher Education, Training Providers and the Third Sector.
